Alice Graham, Evaluation Manager, Pilotlight London
Alice evaluates Pilotlight’s relationships with partner charities to understand the effect and impact of the Pilotlight engagement. She is also developing ways of helping partner charities measure their work and impact on the lives of beneficiaries. Alice has volunteered and worked within the charity sector for five years, including teaching in Kenya and counselling for a national children’s charity in the UK. She has a degree in Sociology and a Masters in Social Research at distinction level. |
Shantel Irwin, Head of Membership
Shantel joined Pilotlight in March 2007 as business development manager. She worked in sales and marketing for Microsoft and Newell Rubbermaid in her native Canada. Shantel recruits new corporate partners and Pilotlighters to the programme and engages with Pilotlighters outside of their project meetings. |
Helen Lang, Head of Project Management, Pilotlight London
![]() | Helen manages a portofolio of Pilotlighter and charity relationships, as well as leading on the recruitment of new charities to Pilotlight. Prior to joining Pilotlight in 2006, Helen worked in the voluntary sector. She also has broad experience of working with small scale social enterprises and is on the board of trustees for a charity overseas. |
Bruce McCombie, Project Manager, Pilotlight London
Prior to joining Pilotlight Bruce worked for a management consultancy delivering organisational development and support services to a range of clients in the private, not-for-profit and charitable sectors. Bruce is an experienced project manager having overseen the performance of two large-scale European Social Fund projects in London and the South East, which aimed to support 14 to 19-year-olds into further education and employment. |
Crystal Waldman, Project Manager, Pilotlight London
![]() | Prior to joining Pilotlight, Crystal spent three years working as a programme officer for an international NGO based in Brussels. She has experience in project management in the fields of international criminal justice and democracy and has worked in diverse countries including Sierra Leone, Yemen, Italy and the United States. Crystal joined Pilotlight in August 2008 and manages a number of charity and Pilotlighter relationships. |
David King, Project Manager, Pilotlight London
![]() | Previously an Executive Director at UBS, David became involved in a business mentoring programme with a local school and subsequently left UBS to develop school to business mentoring. He has spent the last two years mentoring within schools. David brings his business and mentoring experience to bear on managing the relationships between teams of Pilotlighters and charity managers. |
Charlie Medcalf, Project Manager, Pilotlight London
Charlie joined Pilotlight London as a project manager in April 2010. Previously, Charlie worked for a London-based education charity, which aims to raise the aspirations of young people living in disadvantaged areas. The majority of her work involved setting up a new centre in Haringey and delivering the multi-stranded programme to young people aged 7 to 19. She has a degree in Social Anthropology and has spent time volunteering in India with a community development charity promoting HIV awareness to young people in the city of Pune. |
Megan Dodd, Membership & Business Development Manager, Pilotlight London
| Megan joined Pilotlight in October 2011. She has more than eight years' experience in the third sector - mostly in her native Australia - in the fields of fundraising, marketing, strategic planning, events and project management. She also has extensive experience in corporate account management and generating new business. Megan has a personal interest in the developing world and has begun a Masters in Community and International Development.
