Nottinghamshire Deaf Society (NDS) seeks to empower deaf, deafened and hard of hearing people in order that they enjoy enriched lives. Its vision is of a society in which all deaf people can participate equally and so it supports and informs, collaborates and challenges in all areas of life to meet that aim.

NDS provides a range of services for deaf people and it is also home to the Deaf community of Nottinghamshire as it provides community facilities and gives support to different deaf led social and activity groups. Its services include British Sign Language Interpreting, Welfare Rights Advice, training in British Sign Language and a volunteer befriending scheme.
