Safe and Sound Homes

We prevent vulnerable young people from becoming homeless by offering them a room in a volunteer's home. We work with young people at times of crisis in their lives and we help to ensure that a crisis does not lead to the beginning of a cycle of homelessness, unemployment and benefit dependence. We currently work in York, North Yorkshire and the East Riding of Yorkshire, helping about 300 young people a year through our projects, providing about 1300 nights of emergency accommodation.
