David’s career has been spent helping businesses to realise their financial and growth objectives. As an audit partner at EY, he worked with fast growth, entrepreneurial companies and their owners. He was also Head of EY’s UK Entrepreneurial Services team, founder of the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Awards and UK IPO Leader.
Since retiring, David has continued to work with growth businesses but as a member of the Board, in a non-executive capacity. He chaired Audit & Risk Committees and stood in as interim CFO for an AIM-listed company as it went through a fundraising.
David spent ten years as a Trustee for a Volunteering Matters and chaired its Finance & Risk Committee for many years. The charity experienced significant changes during this time, including surviving the loss of government funding, cost cutting, internal re-organisations, a re-brand and a merger. He is now a member of the Board of Trustees for Pilotlight.
