The Beacon Awards highlight key trends in philanthropic giving and pioneering developments, including the growing trend for donations of money together with time, expertise and social capital to support initiatives all around the UK.

Graham became a Pilotlighter very early on, in 2004, and has been significantly involved with us ever since, joining the board of trustees in 2006 and becoming Chairman in 2013.

Having a genuine understanding of what Pilotlight aims to achieve both for its charity partners, and also for its business members has made Graham’s support, whether strategic or financial, particularly targeted and effective.

Since his appointment as Chair of trustees Graham has been active in continuing to grow and support Pilotlight through various new initiatives. Gillian Murray, Pilotlight’s Chief Executive says: “Working with Graham is a real joy – he is a resolute champion of Pilotlight, and the business experience and focus he brings to his role as Chairman is invaluable. He is both supportive and challenging, and always fully engages with what we are working to achieve."
