Today is #GivingTuesday – the global day of giving. We are delighted to take part in this movement and looking forward to seeing what other charities are doing.
#GivingTuesday started as an antidote to December consumerism following Black Friday and Cyber Monday. It has now become a global movement that inspires people to engage with charities and proudly share it online. Whether it’s making a donation, volunteering your time or just spreading the word at the start of the Christmas shopping season, #GivingTuesday is a call to action for everyone who wants to give something back.
We believe it is a fantastic platform for the whole sector to get together and start conversations about the causes we work for every day of the year. At Pilotlight we are using it to spread the word about what we do by asking our Pilotlighters, charities and corporate partners to share why they work with Pilotlight.
It is very encouraging to read the different reasons why all our stakeholders get involved in what we do and continue to support us year after year. As ever, we are tremendously proud of our work and are always looking for ways to do more of it.
