This is a critical role at Pilotlight, overseeing our charity partnerships and the quality of our programmes and initiatives. As Head of Charities and Impact you will contribute to our long-term development and impact through building relationships with Partner Charities and ensuring excellence across all we deliver.

About Pilotlight

Pilotlight is a charity that amplifies the impact charities, business and individuals can bring to make a better world. We create and manage programmes that address the challenges charities face and provide them with the expertise and resources they need to thrive. Since 1996, we’ve helped over 1,000 charities who tackle social disadvantage to ignite change that lasts.

About the Role

As Head of Charities & Impact, you will be responsible for leading Pilotlight’s charity partnerships, and the quality of our product offering to meet the needs of the charities we support. You will be responsible for ensuring we measure our impact, building data and insights that help shape our work. You will champion Pilotlight’s profile and voice in the sector, leading our push to recruit charities and contributing to our plans for greater collaboration. Reporting to the Chief Executive, you will be a Leadership Team member, contributing to the effective leadership and management of Pilotlight, with budget responsibility for evaluation and grant funding.

We’re looking for a strategic thinker with significant experience of working in the charity sector, and an insight into the challenges faced by charities. You’ll have an entrepreneurial approach and be excited by the potential of helping charities improve their impact. You’ll have experience of pro bono organisational development or skilled volunteering initiatives and be an excellent leader and people manager. You’ll also be great at networking and building lasting relationships and be confident in leading a programme of sales of our services to our Partner Charities. Collaborative and consultative, your energy and drive will help us grow our delivery and ensure even more charities access our experts to improve their own delivery.
