RicNic is a theatre charity which aims to empower young people by providing free access to theatre arts projects. RicNic was established by teenagers as a school holiday hobby over 18 years ago and has since developed into a flourishing theatre company, always ensuring that youth voices are at the heart of what we do. Its unique, youth-led approach runs through all of its programmes, allowing young participants to inhabit creative roles from producers to performers, devising their own performances over which they have complete control. Through developing confidence, key skills and experience, it aims to boost young people and raise their aspirations for the future.
