Pilotlight is delighted to welcome Chris Horne as the new Director of Pilotlight Scotland.  Chris was previously Managing Consultant at Edinburgh-based Head Resourcing.

Chris says of his move to Pilotlight:

“Having been instantly attracted to the Pilotlight model when I first heard about it, I am now about 2 months into the role and it is exceeding expectations.  The opportunity to apply my business skills whilst enabling a tangible difference to be made to communities is exciting – I can truly say I love my job.”

Having spent more than 14 years in the private sector, Chris has worked with a wide cross section of businesses tackling recruitment and other people based issues, most recently working with high profile clients such as Investors in People Scotland and Diageo.

Chris joins Pilotlight Scotland as it is celebrating its first anniversary. The first replication of the Pilotlight model outside London, it is enjoying great success working with charities across Scotland’s central belt.

Chris believes the next year will see the team building upon that success,

“I believe Pilotlight Scotland has a great range of charities and Pilotlighters, with some exciting opportunities coming up such as working with the Scottish Youth Parliament. As we enter the second year, my ambition is to engage with a wide range of business leaders across Scotland, using our model to work with the growing array of local charities, who are best placed and determined to deliver more in their communities.”

Chris is a regular speaker at St Andrews University, runs marathons for fun and plays golf.
