Help us to raise funds so that we can help more charities to grow
Pilotlight provides its services to charities for free, and demand is always increasing. We have set an ambitious target of doubling the number of charities we reach in the next two years. To achieve that growth we need to fundraise.
Just a sample of some of the lots we’ve already attracted include a kicking lesson with the Scottish International Rugby Coach, and a week working with the most famous bag designer in the UK, Anya Hindmarch and number one court tickets at the Wimbledon championships.
Pilotlight’s ‘Behind the Scenes’ Auction 2010 is composed of an on- and off-line auction of amazing experiences. The online auction will run on the Pilotlight website from midnight on Friday 19th to Tuesday 30th November. On the 30th November there will be two simultaneous events, one in London and one in Scotland, where the final ten lots will be auctioned as the climax to a fabulous dinner event.
The London event will be hosted at the BAFTA Building in Piccadilly, the Scotland event in Glasgow Science Centre.
About the Lots
There are five categories for lots:
Events & Leisure
Arts & Fashion
Sports & Adrenaline
Professional Experiences
Just for Fun.
About the Event
Tickets for the London event are going fast. They cost £300 per head; tables of ten and twelve are also available. There will be a champagne drinks reception, a three course meal, the premiering of the new Pilotlight film, and, of course, the bidding for the top auction lots. It will be a perfect opportunity to network, enjoy an evening with friends and colleagues, and make a huge difference to charities across the UK.
Why?
Pilotlight has been evaluating its work since it was first established in 2002. We have found that on average, 2 years after working with us our charities turnover is increased by 48%, and the number of people they reach increases by 104%.
Being a part of the Pilotlight auction, whether that is through attending one of the events, donating a lot, or bidding online, will raise money to help the best and brightest of the UK’s small charities continue to develop their own skills and abilities and make a difference to the people who need it most.
