We do it by bringing charities together with business and business experts who can tackle the pressing issues charities are facing. We manage the relationship between business and charities to maximise the impact they bring. We increase the impact of individuals by bringing them new experiences, perspectives and learning. We increase the impact of organisations by exposing their talent to new situations and challenges. We increase the impact of charities by giving them the expertise and resources they need.

About the role:
The primary purpose of the role is to build strong relationships between project stakeholders from different sectors and backgrounds. Our projects are about bringing people together – Pilotlighters (business experts) and Partner Charities – to tackle the challenges our Partner Charities face. As Project Facilitator, you will act as facilitator, coach, and administrator of our projects, with a strong emphasis on relationship building and enabling mutual understanding. You will work as part of the Delivery Team to deliver projects from a range of programmes that strengthen and develop charities and their leaders to better tackle some of society’s biggest issues and to help them help people more effectively.
You’ll manage a portfolio of projects focused on all aspects of organisational development including purpose, strategy, governance & leadership, impact measurement, people, funding and operations. Coaching and mentoring are central to the way we work, strengthening our impact for both Partner Charities and Pilotlighters alike. This is an exciting opportunity to join a talented, friendly team and play a role in Pilotlight’s ambitious plans.
Reporting to: Head of Delivery/Programme Manager
Location: Our beautiful main office is in Central London and we operate a Flexible Working Policy (up to 3 days/week can be home-based).
Starting Salary: £31k pa + excellent benefits
Contract: Full time, permanent (we are open to job share)

Making an impact every day

Learning to swim: lessons in leadership
My first leadership experience was when I was quite young. Soon after leaving university, I found myself leading a small grassroots project in South Africa providing training to raise awareness of HIV and AIDS. I knew very little about running a project, and equally little about leadership. I had the job title of a leader and people to be led but really, I didn’t know what to do.
Making a meaningful difference every day
I was very clear about what I was looking for in my next role and organisation. One of the things that mattered most was working as part of a team with people from diverse backgrounds, where we can collaborate, and I can both learn and contribute from my knowledge and experience.
