The Dorothy Parkes Centre is an award-winning community centre based in Smethwick, a diverse and deprived area in the Metropolitan Borough of Sandwell, West Midlands. The centre opened in 2000 and they provide a safe place of welcome and opportunity, bringing people and organisations together in a spirit of friendship and equality, enabling our local community to thrive. At the centre they help to address local issues including poor physical and mental health, obesity, and social isolation. This is done by providing or hosting a range a groups, activities, and services which are accessible and affordable.
