Home-Start Trafford and Salford provides support and friendship for just over 200 families a year who are struggling to cope, to help prevent crisis and family breakdown. They recruit, train and support volunteers who are parents from the local community, to visit families in their own homes for 2-3 hours per week in order to provide practical help and emotional support to families.
