Eagle’s Nest Project is a charity set up to work with young people aged 11-18 that are struggling to engage in mainstream education, often as a result of early childhood trauma. It offers alternative education solutions that build confidence and to equip them for more positive engagement in education and society moving forwards.

A group of frontline charities specialising in the fields of Community, Welfare, Youth, and, for the first time, Environment have been announced as winners of the 2023 Weston Charity Awards. Due to the extreme stress the sector is currently facing the Awards has increased support this year and given a record number of 22 awards.

One of the most extraordinary qualities of the 6,000+ environmental charities across the UK is that they are able to bridge the gap between their mission of a greener future and what they do to help make that happen; in short, what they do on a Monday.

Applications for the Weston Charity Awards 2023 are officially open thanks to a collaboration between The Garfield Weston Foundation and charity partner, Pilotlight.

"The charity has grown from strength to strength through this programme and we've been successful of other large grants during this time of the Pilotlighters support."

"The Weston Charity Awards has helped us to rewrite our strategic plan. We've now got a new vision and mission and a very clear idea of what our journey is going to be over the next five years. It's provided a lot of clarity to everybody on the team."

Winning the Award meant they had access to the expert mentoring and advice from Pilotlight that they needed to get their charity back on track.
